It was just a regular Sunday evening at Bangalore. I was at room, busy with regular cleaning & washing cloths. My cousin Vinod called and asked me to come to MG/Brigade road. I had booked a ticket for him for traveling to Kerala for next weekend. He wanted to collect it from me.
As always i reached there a bit late.. We walked through the crowded footpaths of Brigade road. Searched in Church Street for the newly relocated Indian Coffee house.. managed to find it at last. Had Dosas & coffee.. Suddenly it started to rain. Vinod was getting irritated and wanted to go home ASAP... Every time rain slows down he was ready to run to the bus stop & i kept on asking him to wait. Finally he said, he'd miss the bus towards his home, we decided to walk/run in the rain to the Bus stop. Managed to get a Polythene bag from a nearest shop. Covered my cellphone with that and steeped into the rain, though I was reluctant initially.
The feeling of first few rain drops amazing. After a few steps, the I realized that even at 27, some of my old childhood habits are still within me. I was just loving the rain. I was simply enjoying every step I walked, loving every rain drop that fell on me. I've never seen Brigade road footpath so much deserted at 9pm at night. We were jumping in the small puddles of water & splashing it.. There were some people who had took shelter in the nearby shops; they were looking at us as if.. we were aliens. :P Anyways I just loved it. Then, Vinod got an Auto & I hopped into a bus.
It was good end for otherwise a boring weekend. ;-)
